It is understood the bizarre incident may be a ‘targeted attack’ related to an Adelaide court case involving e-commerce identities, the Courier Mail reported.
After the alleged assault, Mr Dangerfield was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment on injuries to his face and legs.
Mr Dangerfield also claimed an associate was allegedly thrown into Dangerfield’s Mercedes Benz C63S AMG and driven to Brisbane where he was left.
In a fresh statement to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, Queensland police confirmed they were called to a Gold Coast apartment but would not provide any further details.

‘Police were called to a Como Street, Southport, address last night and have commenced investigations into an assault,’ the statement said.
‘For operational reasons we are unable to comment further at this time.’
Mr Dangerfield, who claims students of his online business courses have made $48million, started his millionaire’s journey selling luxury watches online while at high school in Adelaide.
By 21 he claimed to be making over $300,000 a month.
‘Years later I’ve made millions and I’m proud to have helped thousands of others’, he said in 2021.
He now lives on the Gold Coast and splits his time between running multiple online businesses and actively spruiking his online e-commerce course, called his ‘Six Figure Brand Accelerator’.
His marketing includes showing off a flashy lifestyle on Instagram to his 302,000 followers – which includes riding in high performance cars, wearing jewellery, glamorous holiday snaps and even a flight on what appears to be a private jet.

As of Thursday, Mr Dangerfield had removed all recent posts from his Instagram page and it carried a note saying it was ‘offline’.
Mr Dangerfield told Daily Mail Australia he knew since the age of 14 he was ‘different’ and that he wanted to get ‘rich’.
‘I didn’t want to work a nine to five job I disliked for the rest of my life,’ he said in 2020.
‘I wanted to be rich and successful, and live the laptop lifestyle that I saw others living.’
Daily Mail Australia approached Mr Dangerfield in relation to the assault and kidnapping claims.
